Important Update Veterans: My HealtheVet Has Moved to VA gov. Things You Need To Know!

As of June 4, 2025, the VA officially transitioned the My HealtheVet website to the new VA.gov platform. My HealtheVet is now fully integrated into VA.gov. As of June 4, 2025, veterans must use VA.gov to manage their VA health care—including appointments, secure messaging, prescriptions, medical records, and medical supply orders. This change simplifies access by centralizing tools into one modern platform. Several features have improved or changed. Veterans will benefit from a mobile-first design, enhanced accessibility for assistive devices, and faster tools for managing care. However, manual entry of personal health data is no longer available—replaced by the new Share My Health Data app for tracking and sharing vitals with your VA care team. My HealtheVet is the VA’s online health portal—originally launched in 2003 to help veterans take a more active role in their health care. It allows veterans to manage various aspects of their VA health services online, including refilling prescriptions, messaging providers, viewing lab results, and downloading medical records. As of June 4, 2025, My HealtheVet has been fully integrated into VA.gov, the VA’s centralized platform for health care and benefits management. The goal of this move is simplified access and improved usability for veterans. Instead of juggling multiple VA websites, you’ll now manage your health care, disability benefits, and VA communications all in one place: VA.gov. CHAMPVA Access Remains Limited CHAMPVA spouses, dependents, and survivors do have access to some tools—like reviewing prescription history and managing certain refill requests—but their functionality is still more limited than that of veterans enrolled directly in VA health care. It’s important for CHAMPVA users to know that while some features are available, not all tools or access levels apply to them. Did My C&P Exam Go Well? How Do I Know? 7 Key Signs Veterans Should Know

If you filed a claim for a new primary or secondary disability condition, the C&P examiner is required to give their medical opinion regarding service connection. A favorable medical opinion will include the words “at least as likely as not,” (which means a 50/50 chance) whereas an unfavorable medical opinion will say “less likely than not” (which means less than a 50% chance). “At least as likely as not” means your condition will be service connected and the VA Rater will then assign the appropriate rating based on your severity of symptoms. “Less likely than not” means your condition will NOT be service connected and your claim will be denied. On occasion, a C&P examiner might not give a medical opinion at all, and instead state something like: “no conclusion can be reached without resorting to speculation.” If the examiner does this, the “no medical opinion” must be “based on sufficient facts or data.” See Nieves-Rodriguez v. Peake, 22 Vet. App. 295, 302 (2009). If the examiner presented no sufficient facts or data, we recommend requesting a new C&P exam that adequately addresses the contended etiological relationship without resorting to mere speculation. Bottom line: The VA has a duty to assist veterans, and it should request a new C&P exam with a medical opinion that’s sufficient for rating purposes. For direct service connection, the C&P examiner must approximate the etiology of the claimed condition: The claimed condition was AT LEAST AS LIKELY AS NOT (50 percent or greater probability) incurred in or caused by the claimed in-service injury, event, or illness. The claimed condition was LESS LIKELY THAN NOT (less than 50 percent probability) incurred in or caused by the claimed in-service injury, event, or illness. For secondary service connection, the C&P examiner must approximate the likelihood that the claimed condition was proximately due to, or the result of the veteran’s service connected condition: The claimed condition is AT LEAST AS LIKELY AS NOT (50 percent or great probability) proximately due to or the result of the veteran’s service connected condition. The claimed condition is LESS LIKELY THAN NOT (less than 50 percent probability) proximately due to or the result of the veteran’s service connected condition. 👥Hosts: Veterans Claim Servants https://www.veteransclaimservants.com/ 🤝Connect: Veterans Claim Servants: Instagram: / veteransclaimservantsusa Facebook: / veteransclaimservants TikTok: / veteransclaimservants Email: Info@veteransclaimservants.com 🩺 NEXUS LETTERS: MENTAL HEALTH Dr. Prashant Sharma - Psychiatrist 📧 Email: prashant.sharma.vcs@concisepsych.com Dr. Luis Lopez - Psychologist 📧 Email: phd.lw.lopez@gmail.com MUSCULOSKELETAL Quality Nexus Letters 📧 Email: qualityhealthgroupllc@yahoo.com MENTAL HEALTH COURSE By Dr. Prashant (Board Certified Psychiatrist): Take control of your mental health https://www.concisepsych.com/missionr... use code: “VCS” for 10% off Our Mission and Vision: To Provide Resources, Education, and the information you need to get the benefits that you deserve and have earned.
